Wearing pyjamas in public!

Tuesday 16 August 2016

Ok, now that we’ve got your attention, let us clarify… we’re not talking about actually wearing your PJ’s out of the house, that’s a definite no, no! What we are referring to is comfortable fashion that feels like you’re wearing pyjamas.

After asking so many women what they look for when it comes to clothes, the key word that comes up time and time again is ‘comfort’. We’ve all joked about having a “wear your pyjamas to work” day, but in reality, we know that’s never going to happen. So instead, let’s get creative and opt for the next best thing… stylish outfits that feel as good as your favourite PJ’s!

Slouch pants are the perfect hybrid between PJ pants and trousers. If you’re looking to go super casual opt for a tracksuit style slouch pant which are great for running errands and hanging out around the house. To dress your look up a little more try a chambray or patterned fabric for weekend activities and lunches with friends. To pull off slouch pants for work or an evening event stay neutral and chic with camel or black colours and choose a pant with slightly more structured cut that compliments your shape. You can even add a pair of heels or wedges to really dress them up!

When it comes to your “faking that pyjama feel” top, a looser fit or drape silhouette is best as the last thing we want is something tight and restricting that clings to our lumps and bumps! The key to wearing a looser fit top with slouch pants is to make sure the top tucks in nicely to the front of the pants. A slight tuck gives your overall shape some structure and will eliminate the risk of looking frumpy.

Add a statement necklace and cute bag to your look, and you’ve pulled off a stylish outfit that feels just as comfy as your PJ’s.

We’ve put together some looks to show you just how easy it is to be pyjama comfy without sacrificing style!!
